Sunday Morning Schedule
This Sunday, we continue our regular worship schedule with Kairos worship at 9:15am and traditional worship at 11:15am. We have spiritual formation opportunities for all ages between the two services.
This Wednesday at FPC
On Wednesday, February 28, we will continue with our regular Wednesday schedule with a Wednesday Night Supper at 5:30. The menu includes Pasta Bolognese, Pasta Primavera, green beans, seasonal green salad, and garlic bread. After supper, we’ll have a Pastor’s Midweek Refresh and Faith, Friends, & Fellowship for our K-5th grades.
Your periodic reminder that scammers often try to impersonate pastors. You should always double check the email address if you receive any suspicious solicitation from Richard, Heather, or any other FPC employee. Don’t hesitate to contact us directly if you have any questions.
Wednesday Volunteer Need
Thanks to everyone who has signed up to volunteer on Wednesday nights. We still need more clean-up help after dinner. Parents of K-5th grade kids – this is a great opportunity for adult fellowship while your kids are at Faith, Friends, & Fellowship!
Congregational Meeting and Celebration
Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 10 at 10:15am. The Session has called a congregational meeting to take care of some business and hear an exciting announcement from our APNC and future Director of Youth Ministries. We’ll celebrate for the entire education hour with breakfast treats for all.
Knitwits & Happy Hookers
This group meets on Tuesdays at 12:30pm in the parlor to knit, crochet, pray, and have fellowship. They welcome everyone, whether experienced or new at these crafts, to join them as they provide prayer shawls and other items for our congregation, friends, and community.
Flowers make our two worship spaces even more beautiful, and you can provide them in honor or memory of a loved one. Look at the sign up and choose a date that is special to you.
We would love to see any artwork that our youth or children create during worship. Please send it to Beth. We may share some of these wonderful creations on our social media accounts.
Lenten Small Group Study
Our small group study of Walter Brueggemann’s A Way Other Than Our Own began last week. Groups are meeting throughout the week during Lent. Grab a copy of the book at Amazon and call the church office if you are interested in joining this study.
Reminder About Our Doors
We have had several instances of doors not being locked after hours. We love that our building is being used so much, but it is imperative that you lock any doors that you unlock. We want our members and building to remain safe.
FPC has a new (to us) bus thanks to your generosity! With your gifts and the future sale of the old bus, we still have a gap to be filled. If you would like to donate, please specify “bus replacement” on any Venmo, online, or check donations.
Next FPC Book Club Read
We have chosen The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon as our next book read. This historical mystery was inspired by the life and diary of Martha Ballard, a renowned 18th-century midwife who defied the legal system and wrote herself into American history. Grab a copy, enjoy, and make plans to join our discussion in the parlor on Monday, March 18 at 7pm. We’ll read James by Percival Everett for the following book read.
PW Honorary Life Membership
The Presbyterian Women would love for you to submit nominations during the month of February for the PW Honorary Life Membership which recognizes women for their service to their church and community. You can submit names and see past recipients at the church office or online. All nominations are due by this Thursday, February 29.
